There are several fake Albuquerque Police Patches on ebay...and online in general. I hope this page helps those who truly wish to collect the real APD patches. If you pay close attention to the detail of the patches online, you will notice, as I did, what makes them repros and not true APD patches. All the Albuquerque Police Patches displayed on my site were obtained from an officer or directly from an authorized uniform shop. No repros will be found on my site, unless specified. The Albuquerque Police Department does NOT authorize overruns of their patches. So, when you find sellers selling patches in lots, they are more than likely unauthorized (reproduced) versions. Also, when you see them selling for less than $3 or $4, they are probably not authentic. The patches cost $4.99 from the uniform shops. The real patches are fairly rare and not always so easy to find. Finding them in bulk is highly unlikely.
